Standoff with KCSO closes Rifle Range Rd. temporarily

A 90-minute standoff ended peacefully Tuesday morning with the surrender of a 20-year-old man who had been threatening to kill himself and emergency personnel. The man surrendered to Knox County deputies at 11:05 am when he walked out of the home at 2848 Rifle Range, said Knox County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Martha Dooley.
