Nathan Peterman signs with Tennessee

Nathan Peterman Quarterback, 6-2, 210 Fruit Cove, Fla. (Bartram Trail) Committed: July 20, 2011 Enrolled: Jan. 11, 2012 Prospect Rankings 247Sports: 3-star Rivals: 4-star Scout: 3-star 247Sports Rating: 89 (No. 15 pro-style quarterback, No. 52 prospect in Florida) The skinny: Recruited personally by UT quarterbacks coach Darin Hinshaw, who will likely take on the role as wide receivers coach next season, Peterman brings sound mechanics and a bright football mind to the Vols’ quarterback rotation. He’s also riding high off a strong senior year that helped boost his recruiting stock long after he committed to the Vols. He completed 63 percent of his passes, threw for 2932 yards and 36 touchdowns in leading his team to a 12-2 record. With Nash Nance out of the program, Peterman will be at the bottom of the totem pole when spring ball opens. He truly will have nowhere to go but up.
