Sarah Moore Greene celebrated her 102nd birthday at a ceremony at her namesake school, the Sarah Moore Greene Magnet Technology Academy, on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012. Greene was the first African-American to serve on the Knoxville Board of Education. She shares how her mother dying at a young age impacted her life.
